Jay Verle Duerden, Chairman
Verle Duerden received his BA degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University. While going to school, Verle worked as a river guide in the Grand Canyon each summer. In 1978, he purchased the Idaho operation of the company that he worked for and has been operating wilderness rafting trips in several locations since that time. He has successfully grown his company, Action Whitewater Adventures, into one of the leading river operations in the west. Verle also is the General Partner of Fish Lake Resorts Associates which owns and operates Fish Lake Resort and Lakeside Resort in Central Utah, and is the owner of Action Vending Services. Verle and his wife, Regan, are the parents of 7 children.

Kyle W. Tresner, Executive Director
With nearly twenty years experience working with youth in various capacities, Kyle has shown a passion for working with young people. He has served continuously since 1990 as a leader in Boy Scouts of America and has been employed by companies and organizations that serve youth such as Youth Quest, Especially for Youth, Youth Developmental Enterprises and Discovery Academy. He received his bachelors degree in Secondary Education and his Utah Teaching Certification from Brigham Young University and taught school in Utah's Alpine School District for several years. Kyle also has extensive fund raising experience having served as a major gifts officer at BYU for nearly a decade. He was responsible for raising millions of dollars and has been involved in several multi-million dollar campaigns. He currently serves on the board of the Cairn Academy, a school for troubled youth and as President of the Cherry Hill Elementary Community Council. He is also on the organizing committee for Utah's "Rotary Youth Leadership Awards" (RYLA), a summit where hundreds of high school students from across the state are trained to be leaders. Kyle and his wife, Lara, are the parents of 5 little girls.

Mathew Duerden,PhD, Director
Now a professor in youth development at Texas A&M University, Mathew and his wife, Chenae, were the primary organizers and first camp directors of Camp WILD. After that first highly successful year, they continued as directors for the next two years and Mat, a BYU grad student at the time, served as primary liaison between the WILD project and professors at BYU. Mathew and Chenae, are the proud parents of Jackson who is currently the one who rules their home.

Mark Widmer,PhD, Director
Professor and Therapeutic Recreation Program Coordinator in the Department of Recreation Management and Youth Leadership at Brigham Young University. He serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Leisure Research and the Therapeutic Recreation Journal. Mark is also an outcomes and programming consultant to Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare programs.
Mark and his wife Suzy have four children: Kaeli (17), Matthew (14), Nathaniel (11), and Kirsten (7). They love to read, ride bikes, hike, fish, and sail together. Matt and Mark have completed a number of triathlons and road races together over the past couple of years.

Roger E. Woolsey, Director
CEO of Houston-based Million Air, one of the largest fixed-based operations (FBO) chains in the world, providing upscale, private aviation services to individuals and corporations. The Million Air chain FBO operators provide aircraft charter, fuel, support services and maintenance though 34 separate franchises strategically located across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Roger has more than 21 years of aviation industry experience and has been recognized and honored numerous times by many prestigious publications and industry stake holders. He has been a frequent guest of the White House and is an alumnus of the Harvard Executive Business School Program. Roger and his wife, Carol, and the parents of 4 children.
